Porch, not podium.
Caught Sooner is a family of books and resources that helps us notice the small human moments shaping our lives a little sooner, creating more room for choice and less room for regret.
The work is meant to be useful, shareable, and human. It is written for the next person who might need it — a friend, a neighbor, someone quietly carrying something on a Tuesday.
The tone is porch, not podium. The values are trust, friendship, generosity, and availability. There is no funnel. There is no certification. There is no promise about your future self.
The work works with you, not on you.

About Frank
Frank Wood, PhD, is a retired clinical psychologist and the author of SOONER.
His work grows out of decades spent paying attention to the small human moments just before things go the way we didn’t intend: the conversation that shifts, the reaction that gets there first, the moment we recognize only after it has already moved through us.
Those moments became the ground for Caught Sooner, a growing collection of books, workbooks, and conversations about noticing what is already happening a little earlier than we usually do.
He developed and taught this work across care settings, teams, and everyday environments. His intention remains simple: offer something useful, make it easy to receive, and let people take what helps. If it helps twenty more people, that will be enough.
Frank lives in Gulfport, Florida, walks most days, and occasionally line dances (not well).
He still finds that noticing sooner is easier to describe than to do.

Sooner, and maybe a hoot.
